Clubs
Clubs module is available for all communities
We’ve enabled this feature for all Gradual communities! If you’ve not started using interest groups or chapters in your community yet, you may notice a new section in your dashboard titled ‘Clubs’. Clubs are a great way to create segmented spaces within your community. Create clubs by interest area, persona, product line, or geographic region.
It’s optional to turn on and make visible in your community, but we’ve seen so many of the communities we work with succeed with chapters and interest groups, so we unveiled it for all.

Club Spaces
Create dedicated spaces for your clubs or make existing community spaces available for clubs to utilize to restrict access to the club forum board, content and events within the club. When a club asset is assigned to a space, it is only visible to members who belong to the space AND the club, allowing you to really control what may be exclusive or private to club members. Learn more about this feature and how to build or reimagine community spaces here.
Gradual Check-In App updates
Session Check-In
Better manage session-level event attendance in real time from Gradual's check-in app. Event organizers can scan event attendees via name or QR code and the participation data is tracked automatically in the event dashboard. Learn more about how to set this up and start tracking session data here.
Collaborators can log into the Gradual Check-In App
All levels of event collaborator roles and event permission roles can now access the Gradual Check-in App to help manage on site attendance and tracking. These users can check attendees into the event and also into sessions to better manage engagement. Learn more about Collaborators here and Event Permissions here.
Other Features
‘Question’ post types in Forum
There is a new ‘Question’ post type in the forum and options for moderators to mark comment responses or answers as accurate. This feature is designed for community members, moderators, and administrators who use question-style posts to manage support, guide accurate knowledge sharing, and user engagement. Learn more about this post type and how to manage answers here.
Public Search
Your community search bar now appears to visitors who are not logged in, in addition to members who are logged in. This allows users to search the entire environment for keywords or phrases and find people, content, events, discussions, and more within your community. People and profiles are hidden from this public search engine, and any space-restricted, member-only, or secret clubs, forum boards, content, or events are blocked from the search results for visitors. If your community is set to private, the search bar will not appear to any visitors, and the prompt to log in will remain. Learn more about the Gradual community search engine here.
Play YouTube videos in meeting rooms
Assigned hosts can now seamlessly play YouTube videos directly within Meeting Rooms, Webinars and Roundtables, enhancing your virtual events with multimedia content. Learn how to share videos with audio in real-time here.
"Registered for an event" contribution
Event attendees can now earn a contribution with their registration and log points for that action. You’ll find this new preset contribution in the Contributions tab in your dashboard, and you can customize its point value and visibility from there. Learn more about preset vs. custom contributions here.
