Context First: From Reach to Resonance: Why Depth of Engagement Wins

In a world that prioritizes scale, many community strategies are still built around reach. More content, more programs, more activity.

But what often gets overlooked is whether those efforts actually create connection.

In this session, Leslie Barber shares a different approach. Drawing on her experience building and leading communities, she explores why smaller, more intentional experiences tend to drive stronger engagement, deeper trust, and more meaningful outcomes.

The conversation will focus on:

Why depth of engagement matters more than scale

How more intimate community experiences change participation and trust

What it takes to create spaces people actually want to be part of

As part of the Context First series, this is a focused, practitioner-led conversation grounded in real experience.

Before and after the event:

This session is designed to help you rethink how your community creates value, not just visibility.
