Context First: Community Measurement Your CFO Will Trust

Most community teams still cannot put a defensible number on their work. CMX’s 2025 report found that 76% cannot quantify community impact, even though community consistently ranks as one of the most trusted sources of information in B2B buying. The data already exists across Slack, Discord, GitHub, Discourse, and event platforms. The challenge is getting that data into the systems where the business, and especially finance, actually counts outcomes.

In this Context First session, Mark Birch , Founder and CEO at TribeROI , draws on 15 years of experience leading community programs at Enterprise Sales Forum, Stack Overflow, and AWS to unpack why the measurement conversation keeps breaking down in budget reviews. He’ll also walk through a practical exercise community leaders can use to turn existing signals into something more defensible before their next finance conversation.
