Custom Badging and Leaderboard

You can now build custom badges and feature your contributors on a new community “leaderboard” page. Learn more about contributions and badging updates here.

Custom Badging

Create your own badges to acknowledge your members and their contributions to the community. Customize the badge name, graphic, and what it acknowledges. Give badges to your founders, ambassadors, etc. to fit your goals and celebrate your most engaged members.

Contributor Leaderboards

A leaderboard is now available to showcase your community’s contributors! Linked from the main menu, this page allows visitors and members to see all your contributors ranked and organized by their contributions and badges. Feature certain members, customize the page to fit your community’s mission, and acknowledge the most deserving contributors.

Other Features

Filter Members by Location

If your members provide their location when filling out their profile, you can opt to have location filterable on the community’s ‘People’ page. Members can search exact city matches or more general countries and filter the list of members to those matching the criteria.

Dashboard administrators can enable this in the Onboarding Form setup, by editing the ‘Location’ question.

Forum: Lock Posts

Forum moderators can now lock posts so members are unable to comment on the post. This can be done immediately when a post is created or after it has received some comments and reactions. Learn more about Forum moderation here.

Event Chat Slow Mode

Moderate high-volume and very active chats in livestream and hybrid events by controlling how rapidly attendees can send messages. Chat moderators can make the change in real-time during the event and opt for wait intervals from 2 seconds between messages to 5 minutes. Learn more about slow-mode moderation here.

Clubs Updates

You may want to browse through the list of clubs and be able to view all clubs and interest groups at once and to order them in the way you like. On the dashboard, you can view all regional clubs at once and you can sort the list of your clubs alphabetically, by popularity, or by the time of creation. It is also possible to pin clubs so that they will be displayed at the top of the list, and customize the order among the clubs that are pinned. On the front end, clubs will be displayed in the order that you configured on the dashboard. On the front-end users can view all clubs at once in a particular region and change the order as desired (alphabetical, most recently created, by number of members, etc). Finally, the maximum number of interest groups has been adjusted from 40 to 100. Learn all about clubs here.

‘Other’ option is supported in forms

You can now offer an ‘other’ option in profile and event registration questions so members and event attendees can enter custom text during onboarding or registration. Learn more about profile onboarding questions here and event registration questions here.

Tracking visitors to your community

You may be curious about how many non-members visit your community per month. Your community overview page will now show the number of unique visits by those who are not logged in, in addition to other metrics such as monthly active users. If you’re curious how a dashboard metric is calculated, simply hover over the number and a tooltip will explain the details of that metric.

Light Theme Emails

If your community is in light mode, the automated emails now match the light theme. This includes all the event confirmation and reminder emails, and the magic link log-in emails.
