Webinar

Webinars are now available! This event type allows you to host interactive video calls where most participants are behind the scenes but hosts can bring attendees to the stage to present, share their screens, ask questions live, and engage with the speakers face-to-face. Webinars allow for up to 350 active participants and can support chat, Q&A, and all of the host capabilities you’re used to from meeting events. Learn more about webinar events here. 

Light Theme

A light theme of Gradual is now available! This is a system-wide change so all pages within your environment on computer browsers and mobile devices would change to the light theme if enabled. Learn more about what this looks like and how to make this change here.

Club Updates

Customize the look and feel of your club pages, and showcase club members! Learn all about club settings and customization here.

Show Club Members

You can now display the club members within your chapters or interest groups. Others can browse the group, search or filter by profile questions, and connect with others in the club. 

Club Menu

You can now add a menu to the club page to showcase the various parts of your club like events, members, and content. This menu also allows members to more easily navigate to the various pages of the club and explore each asset in detail. 

Pro Tip: The URL updates when you navigate to each page from this menu so you can more easily send direct links to a club’s event page or member list in your communications or club promotions. 

Club Page Banner

Jazz up each club page with a full page-width banner image. Each club can have an individualized brand and design that caters to their chapter or group. 

Event Updates

Event Email Metrics

See how your event emails perform at a high level from a new metrics widget on the event overview page. Track the total number of automated event emails sent and the open or bounce rate for each. This feature must be enabled in your dashboard, and will only start tracking events published after it has been turned on. Learn more here. 

Add Custom Keyword Moderation Filters

You can now add custom words to the system-wide moderation filter. Added words will be flagged as profane and blocked in the event chat and the forum. Or, add words that are appropriate and allowed in your community to override the global moderation filter. 

Enable Moderator-Only Chat Mode From Dashboard

Take control of the chat in your events by allowing only a select group of trusted moderators to post important messages in the thread. The moderator-only mode feature can be enabled by dashboard admins ahead of livestream and hybrid events or on the front end, during the event by chat moderators and event collaborators. Forum Updates

Forum Visibility

You can now curate what visitors or members can see in your community’s forum. Visibility can be controlled at the top level, hiding the entire forum from visitors who aren’t logged in, or specific boards and the posts within. Opt to have boards visible to visitors, available only to logged-in members, or gated to prompt users to log in to view the whole post. Learn more about forum settings and visibility here. 

Forum Post Dates

You can choose to show the post date of members’ forum posts or hide that information from the Forum Settings in your dashboard. If a post was edited, that timestamp will also update to the most recent update date and time on the post.
